Spence Palermo is a singer, songwriter and storyteller, whose musical roots in Oregon reach back to 1974 and the mid-Willamette Valley’s favorite “One Hit Wonder Band”, Blackhawk County,
The band’s regional hit single, “Oregon I Can’t Go Home” stayed at # 1 on Portland AM radio for several weeks in the summer of 1974, reached #16 on the national Billboard charts. Local success led to extensive touring and an album of original rock and country songs.
​Since 2010 Palermo has been enjoying playing and performing as a solo singer/songwriter performing an eclectic blend of Americana Blues, Rockabilly, Country and unplugged Rock and Soul classics from a deep and ever evolving song bag that spans the last 50 years.
Palermo’s passion for the music and the people who enjoy it is evident as he continues to entertain audiences in cafes, coffee houses, pubs, wineries and festivals across Oregon.
