Spence Palermo’s 30+film career includes writing, producing, filming, directing and editing documentaries, PSA’s and  informational and educational films (in Spanish and English)  as well as crew experience on every kind of production, from Hollywood feature films to natural history and international documentaries filmed in over 30 countries (Does Lichtenstein count?) Spence's work as a location sound recordist contributed to an Emmy Award (Morocco 1998) and an Oscar nomination for best short doc (India 2009).

Grizzly Man

An incredible experience, working with one of my film school heros, the legendary Werner Herzog. We spent several weeks in Alaska's wilderness looking for "Bad" bears following the trail of Timothy Treadwell. What a tale!

Nominated for the Oscar  for "Best Short Documentary" in 2009 Our team spent several weeks filming in India with the World Health Organization documenting  their efforts to eradicate polio from this populous country.
