Rockin'the PNW Since 1973

Spence Palermo is a Singer, Songwriter and Storyteller whose musical roots in Oregon reach back to 1974 and the mid-Willamette Valley's favorite "One Hit Wonder Band",  Blackhawk County. The Band's regional hit single, "Oregon I Can't Go Home" stayed at # 1 on Portland AM radio (Remember AM radio?) for six weeks during the summer of 1974 and reached #16 on the national Billboard charts. Local success led to extensive touring an original album (Remember those?) of original rock and country songs.

Palermo’s passion for Americana and Roots music simmered on the back burner while earning degrees in Film Production and Romance Languages from the University of Oregon and pursuing a successful 30+ year career as an international documentary filmmaker. Since 2010 Palermo has been  enjoying playing, performing, writing and  recording an eclectic blend of Americana Blues, Roots, Rockabilly, Country and unplugged rock and soul classics. Drawing from a deep and ever evolving song bag that spans the last 50 years.  Palermo’s passion for the music and the people who enjoy it is evident as he continues to entertain audiences in cafes, coffee houses, pubs, wineries and festivals across Oregon.
